Susan M. Hughes, MD, FACS
The oldest of seven children, all doctors, Susan Hughes followed in the footsteps of her parents (both doctors) in pioneering and presenting the latest innovations in her field of medicine. Dr. Hughes works and teaches in the Oculoplastic Department at Wills Eye Hospital and has a second office in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. She teaches eye residents at Wills Eye Hospital and her additional affilations include Graduate Hospital, Jefferson University Hospital, Medical College of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Children's Hospital, Scheie Eye Institute, Presbyterian Hospital, St. Christopher's, Our Lady of Lourdes and all of the Virtua Health Care System Hospitals.
Dr. Hughes, board certified in Facial Cosmetic Surgery and Ophthalmology, is a fellow of both the American Society of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. She is also a member of the AMA, AWMA, PSR and European Society of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Hughes has volunteered with Project Orbis and has operated and lectured in third world countries. She lectures locally, nationally and internationally in her field.
