Susan M. Hughes, MD, FACS

The oldest of seven children, all doctors, Susan Hughes followed in the footsteps of her parents (both doctors) in pioneering and presenting the latest innovations in her field of medicine. Dr. Hughes has taught in the Oculoplastic Department at Wills Eye Hospital for 24 years, and has her private office in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Dr. Hughes operates in her office based AAAHC certified operating room, and at the Virtua Health Care System Hospitals.

Dr. Hughes, board certified in both Facial Cosmetic Surgery and Ophthalmology, is a fellow of both the American Society of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. She is also a member of the AMA, AWMA, PSR and European Society of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Hughes is on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the AAAHC (the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care). Through volunteering with Project Orbis, she has operated and lectured in third world countries. She lectures locally, in the New Jersey and Philadelphia areas, as well as nationally and internationally in her field.
